So, what’s going on? Well first of all I am still working on my ‘february challenge’. The RPM Challenge is a fun thing to do. I already got about 6 ‘songs’. But don’t expect too much. They are rough and some kind of unfinished. And this will probably not change much since the 28 days are a short time to write, record and mix 10 songs. I am using about every trick to create music automatically: Arpeggiators, random note placement, granular stuff and long evolving sounds. This will probably get me there but not create the most genius music you ever heard. But the RPM Challenge ist just about one thing: Getting it done!

But this is not the only thing I am working at. I am doing 2 more remixes for some remix competitions and try to create some more ‘soundtrack’ demos.

That’s about it. More to come soon.

My courses at Berkleemusic startet about 2 weeks ago. So I am pretty busy with learning. But I can’t stop creating music…

Well, for starters there is a project with Stefan Schroff going on. He played the bass when we were playing a tour with draven and he is an amazing guitar player. You might check out his solo album ‘Evolution‘. We both wrote some songs for draven which we took with us when we left the band. We felt these songs are worth to be recorded and we do it! I finished the synths and orchestral stuff some weeks ago and he will eventually record some guitars before those raw version will be sent out to the guest singers. I’ll tell you more about it when we start recording with them.

Further I am working on a remix for a remix contest of Celldweller. This I do just for fun. We’ll see how this will turn out.

And – as if I had not enough to do – I found the RPM Challenge. To attend to this challenge you are asked to create a full album of at least 35 minutes or 10 songs within the 28 days of february. Sound quite fun and a nice challenge. This would not be about high quality production and I probably will not create the next big thing within those 28 days. It’s just about getting it done! For fun and glory. I am thinking about taking this challenge.

That’s it for now…
