We saw 3 great bands in 3 different genres on stage. November-7 with their between-Linkin-Park-and-Evanescence style metal, Arkhan with their straight in the face, heavy, high-energy death-thrash-metal or Hathors playing high-energy, crazy, handmade old-fashioned Rock. 3-times great fun! It was a hard decision to make. Finally the jury – beeing 3 members from the french part of switzerland and me being from the german part – decided to call Hathors the winner of the Metal Battle 2010. This is the first time since the Metal Battle came to Switzerland actually a band from the german part won! Congratulations.

Thanks for this great event. It was cool to be part of it!

This is the 5th time this contest will be held in switzerland and also the 5th time with me as a member of the jury. The jury already decided which bands will be playing in the first round which will take place between the 5th and 7th of march. Those will be:

05.03.2010 Uster, Rock City
06.03.2010 Olten, Provisorium 8
06.03.2010 Worblaufen, Downstairs
07.03.2010 Solothurn, Kofmehl

Unfortunately I’ll not be present during this round since I will spend some time in berlin. But I will be at the semifinals and of course the final round. I believe those will be again some amazing events. So you better be there!
