Red Ochsenbein is a switzerland-based composer. With his roots in electronic music, his heart in heavy guitars and his passion for the orchestral sound of movies he creates fresh and intense compositions for movies, commercials and games.

After trying to play the recorder, home organ, drums and synthesizers he decided to write music on his C=64. Some years later he started playing guitar and chose this instrument to be his main weapon. He studied 2 years at the ACM in Zürich. Later he attended the sound engineering courses at the SAE in the same town.

He played 13 years in the band draven. draven released 3 albums, several videos. They eventually managed to place music in a full length movie, in some commercials and sports-dvds. For this band he wrote the arrangements. Orchestral and electronic parts side-by-side and his passion for movie soundtracks and music production in general began to grow. So he decided to take this one step further… He had the honour to get some lessons in composition from the established composer Christian Henking.

He is currently studying Orchestration for Film and TV at Berkleemusic.
